As I mentioned in my earlier post today - it's the first day of the 30 paintings in 30 days challenge. I did this in January too and found it to be fabulous for simply developing skills and ideas. It's a totally free world-wide initiative that just challenges people to create something each day for thirty days and post their images on a group website (www.30paintingsin30days.weebly.com).
So this is my first picture of the challenge. Opposite my house on Skye is a croft where sixteen sheep live and graze. We've become used to each other over the months and I go and sketch them from time to time. This picture is of the ram, who I've nicknamed Wilberforce - and he was actually sat like this and looked so cheerful I had to draw him.
