Another change today - this is a drawing in the style of the swirling abstracts. These drawings originate from a nude model in front of me, its just that I'll see an inspiring line of a limb, or interesting joint, and this is what emerges, rather than the classic life drawings that I also produce.
A combination of both styles has started to emerge from my fingers in the life workshops and soon you'll see this appearing on the website - abstract nudes, where I capture the swirling lines and then draw the figure over that, to produce a more complex abstract. I haven't decided whether I'll put these in the Swirling Abstract Gallery here, or whether they'll constitute another gallery of their own. A couple of these images developed so far is shown below:
I'm still working with different colours - and often that's not a conscious decision other than making sure the pastel colours don't clash with the paper being used, but when I feel it works, I think it shows a different kind of depth to a figure.
Back to the recipes tomorrow, just thought you might like a chance to digest yesterday's before introducing another :)
