Busy sorting publicity for my next exhibition - the brain hurts as I've tried to convert pdf files into jpegs! All done though and work will progress on the website too this week. Watch this space...

Great to draw a wonderfully angular model - would love to focus on his joints for more hours than I had. These Broad Hinton sessions are shorter than the ones in Swindon but no less inspiring. Feel privileged each time to have more access to such good models and to work with my favourite medium: the pastel. I have great hunks of chalk to work and mould into the paper and its then that I lose the reality of being sat in a room at an easel, I'm just in the zone of drawing what I see. A simply lovely way to spend a morning
Part of my heart still resides on Skye, but it was lovely to get back into life here by taking part in the life drawing workshop in Swindon on Sunday. Fabulous model and good to feel the benefits of drawing everyday for the last few weeks. Here are the drawings (click on the image to see the full picture, these thumbnails are just sections):
The misty clouds are slowly clearing! Just on my last few days..here are this weeks drawings so far. Going back to Wiltshire tomorrow |
