Layered swathes float aimlessly over the bay, the bright blue backdrop sending shimmery hues through their veils. Marbled droplets glisten and glimmer as they drift apart and reform again.
Frothy feathers are puffed and preened as huge wings stretch themselves and resettle in the drying breeze. The flouncy layers ruffle to reveal hidden hues as tucked-in strands fill out and lose their shyness.
Once-plaited tendrils escape and blow freely, escaping their deftly woven companions with glee. Airy whirls buffet them further and cascades of curls fly out as tight bows are coaxed to release their knots. They are whipped and massaged into submission so that the ribbons untie and trail their new paths, curled and wavy as the locks they’ve just released.
