Smatterings of fairy dust start to rest on those dusky pinks and greys that were just thinking of declaring an end to this morning's sunrise. They bask for a moment, letting the soft touch of pearly glimmer make them feel glorious.
So that's the full thirty paintings completed for this September challenge. Phew! It was everything it should be - exhausting, stimulating, wonderful - and I know it made me explore artistic inspirations and techniques in new ways. That's the point of doing it. It encourages me to put extra pressure on myself (which I'm always good at but maybe not when I'm recovering from surgery...) both creatively and timewise, and perhaps everyone needs that to truly move forward sometimes.
The challenge itself applies no pressure at all, just a forum to be creative, all in the same time period which is a lovely thought: over a thousand artists worldwide all striving to create at the same time. Have a look at the results: http://www.saetastudio.com/30-in-30-blog Thank you for reading and following my month of painting.
Soft earthy rays start to creep over the mountain tops as the day decides what mood it'll choose. The cold blue ceiling welcomes those first warm licks as a puppy welcomes those nurturing nuzzles from its' mother.
The mood is decided and set - it's a joyous start to a beautiful day! Hot pink flames leap up into the air. Candyfloss-like puffs fill the skies, stretching luxuriously in the vastness. It's a day where you remember your dreams and the impossible seems like there could be a possible.
Autumnal sunrise skies sweep over the loch after a night of rainy gales. The blue has been vigorously washed and sparkles in its clearest form, daring the clouds to blemish it's splendour. Sunrise pink bubbles dare to creep up over the splendour and are cheekily pink - like bubble-gum blushes in the playground when you know that you're not allowed to chew it during school time but it's so much fun to blow bubbles it's worth the risk of getting caught.
The air is peaceful as the wind drops and even the birds take a few moments to breathe and contemplate. Clouds have gathered but appear to be silently cascading like petals from cherry blossom trees at springtime. What seems to be a tree of one shade looks like a subtle streak from a rainbow when the petals have reconvened in their new arrangement.
