Dusky Embers - Oil on canvas board - 20x20cm

Dusky embers of mauve and pink are caught up in the breeze, making their way reluctantly to fill the cloud bases. Like mounds of heather on a hillside, they scatter through the skies. A few buds and petals release from the tentative creepings and find themselves lifted to liberation. Suspended amongst the anonymity of the unknown, some retreat as soon as they can wend their way back and some forge new futures. Whatever they choose, they now know a reality that challenges previous experience. Doesn't that have to be a good thing?
