I sit here as the sun has long dropped over the horizon and the westerly snow-gales are lashing the windows with a dedication that one could only describe as total focus. The skies today, although fraught with violent showers (you know, the type that cuts your face and makes you sway with the force - exceedingly noticeable when one is attempting to affix a banner to a fence to communicate that one's art shed is open!) have been utterly striking. The sky has been an even rawer blue than of late and the pinks usually reserved for sunrise and/or sunset have been present in the clouds to some degree all day. I thought the picture was never going to transpire as a coherent work but it came together in the end :)
