Back up on Skye for the festive two weeks that house Christmas and new year. I'm attempting a drawing a day of the views I see from the living room window. Today North Uist finally decided to be seen from here which was a privilege quite frankly - just before storm Eva is forecast to arrive in a few hours. I can hear the gales already blasting the hillside but it's sunny in the main (with the odd hail shower thrown in for good measure).
The hues are, unsurprisingly, of a cooler palette in the main, but the skies - if I can draw speedily enough to catch them - are simply stunning as the sun departs for the day. The sun is setting in a different place as the season dictates and showing colours not seen I the summer months. Foz is hoping for the northern lights to grace us with their presence, and indeed the magnetic activity has been high, just too cloudy here. Now that would be an exercise in speedy drawing...seasons greetings to you all, may you be as festive as you desire.
