Once upon a time there was a garden on a mountain-side with a washing line in it. The washing line was fully populated with lovely fresh clean laundry, billowing happily in the ever-present breeze. The clothes on the line all co-ordinated with each other - their owner liked all of her clothes to match at all times. Efficiency was the aim of all aspects of life - think of the extra time one could save on not putting outfits that clash together!

One day, a particularly brisk breeze swept through the garden. This wasn't unusual, but the pegs were not of the super-doper wind-resistant variety and several of the lighter, frillier items took their leave of that mountain-side. They swirled high into the air and over the sea. They danced and pranced through and high above the thick, grey clouds grumpily skirting the mountains.

These delicate clothes found themselves congregated up into a soft blue haze that they'd never seen before and were pleased they had each other's company to discover this new reality with. The lightness of fabric meant that the wind found them little trouble to keep them at their new height and was happy to house them in their new reality.

So, if you ever see a cluster of small, light and fluffy clouds of a co-ordinated nature nestling high up in the sky, spare a thought for the lady who had to purchase a whole new range of matching delicates!

Moral of the story: if living in a gusty zone, always peg one's most treasured frills out with the most secure pegs you can find...
