The heathers are vibrant in their purples and pinks throughout the Scottish Highlands. At the end of the summer as the bracken tips are turning reds and browns, the colours of the heather become brighter and prouder amongst their autumnal counterparts. It is these beauties that I've focused on for my new Highland Heathers collection as part of the September '30 Paintings in 30 Days' challenge.
Here are the practical details:
- Title: Apricot Darlings (#8 Highland Heathers Collection)
- Oil on canvas board (280gsm, 100% cotton canvas on 100% recycled board)
- Size: 20x20cm/8"x8" (3mm depth)
- Unframed
- Artist-signed on the reverse side and will arrive with a certificate of authenticity

I usually write about my paintings when I first post them in my Journal here on my website. My journal post for Apricot Darlings was:
Sometimes the full impact of true beauty escapes us as we take in the everyday sights and sounds as the usual in our lives. Subtle blends go unnoticed as the bigger brighter things grab our attention. Look closer at the seemingly same and you'll see tiny miracles of marvellous unfolding from these apricot darlings.
