Brightest Glad Rags
The heathers are vibrant in their purples and pinks throughout the Scottish Highlands. At the end of the summer as the bracken tips are turning reds and browns, the colours of the heather become brighter and prouder amongst their autumnal counterparts. It is these beauties that I've focused on for my new Highland Heathers collection as part of the September '30 Paintings in 30 Days' challenge.
Here are the practical details:
- Title: Brightest Glad Rags (#19 Highland Heathers Collection)
- Oil on canvas board (280gsm, 100% cotton canvas on 100% recycled board)
- Size: 20x20cm/8"x8"
- Artist-signed on the reverse side and will arrive with a certificate of authenticity
I usually write about my paintings when I first post them in my Journal here on my website. My journal post for Brightest Glad Rags was:
Swathes of flower heads adorn their brightest glad rags and join the throngs being hustled and bustled by the sweeping gales. Hats flying and ribbons blowing, their colours are joyous and momentously fabulous as they unleash their true selves in the stark autumn light.
