Using doorways as my inspiration, door#1 is the first of my Abstract Doorways Collection. I've created door#1 using collage as a base layer and then painting in acrylic using a palette knife. The combination of the collage and palette knife painting forms a textured effect that draws your eye into all the nooks and crannies that the paint and pattern have settled into.
