The dramatic Hebridean skies capture my imagination and make my fingers tingle to paint them. I create soft, velvety paintings inspired by the dreaminess of the clouds, capturing the essence of those floating beauties over the Isle of Skye
The scenery and skies in this part of the world never fail to leave me transfixed and it constantly makes me crave to paint from those inspirational views. At most given times the clouds whirl overhead in a kaleidoscope of flurried hues. If I can paint just a tiny bit of the wonder they infuse in me then I consider myself lucky.
I usually write about my paintings when I first post them in my Journal here on my website. My journal post for this painting was:
I always count myself as incredibly fortunate to witness the fabulous clouds from Skye. I was able to draw them just before the moon bestowed it's clear light over the bay. The colours are ever-changing as the months and seasons pass - and last night was simply mesmerising.
