Using florist doorways as my inspiration, Prettily Beckoning is part of my Shop Fronts Collection. I've created Prettily Beckoning using collage as a base layer and then painting in acrylic using a palette knife. The combination of the collage and palette knife painting forms a textured effect that draws your eye into all the nooks and crannies that the paint and pattern have settled into.

Can you see me on this summer’s day, squirrelled away under the awning? Petals are preening under the sun, leaves unfurl to luxuriate in the rays. They expand in their flourishing and prettily beckon you to inhale their fragrance. You’ll find me waiting patiently for you to tiptoe between the flowerpots.
