Using florist doorways as my inspiration, Gleaming Rays is part of my Shop Fronts Collection. I've created Gleaming Rays using collage as a base layer and then painting in acrylic using a palette knife. The combination of the collage and palette knife painting forms a textured effect that draws your eye into all the nooks and crannies that the paint and pattern have settled into.

Low bright sunshine is warming the bricks and enticing the leaves on my plants to reach for those last gleaming rays. The courtyard outside looks clear now and I'm looking forward to raising a glass to the end of another colourful day. Never a non-colourful one here!
